VMware Workstation Player™ is a streamlined desktop virtualization application that runs another operating system on the same computer without rebooting. Is there any way to force vmware workstation 16 to detect these devices? They do show up in device manager under USB devices for both physical connection and remotefx connection.VMware Workstation 16 Player | 14 September 2020 | Build 16894299 I am using the USB 3.1 compatability because one of the devices I try to connect is a USB 3.0 device. I have tried selecting "Show all USB input devices" without any success. When physically connected to the host machine, the devices shows up as expected. The usb-devices works just fine under Windows 10 host, but I would like to also use them in Linux in my virtual machine. I currently have an issue where USB devices connected over remotefx (Windows RDP) does not show up under "removable devices" in the virtual machine. USB device -> Windows 10 laptop -> remote desktop (windows rdp, remotefx) -> Windows 10 host -> Ubuntu 20.04 guest running in VMware. So far it has been great, but today I stumbled upon my first serious issue. Hi, I am currently evaluation VMWare Workstation 16 to see if all my requirements are met.
